About the Event
By 16+, learning difficulties rarely exist in isolation. Years of accumulated challenges collide with greater independence, heavier workloads and increasingly unforgiving deadlines.
What does meaningful support look like when there are urgent problems to solve today — and deeper difficulties that need sustainable solutions for tomorrow?
For many neurodivergent learners, something changes at 16+.
Difficulties that may have begun with reading, spelling, maths, attention or organisation haven't necessarily gone away. But now the demands are greater. There is more to read, more to remember, more to organise — and much more expectation that students will manage it all independently.
Assignments get longer. Deadlines matter more. Revision becomes more complex. Decisions about university, training and careers begin to loom.
And years of struggling with learning may already have left their mark.
