About the Event

Join Tessa Halliwell with Richard Whitehead on Thursday, 6th March at 7:30 PM for an enlightening session that explores the unique ways autistic individuals perceive the world.

This event addresses the misunderstandings, confusion, and anxiety often encountered in daily interactions, and introduces a transformative roadmap of basic life concepts identified by Ron Davis.

Learn how embracing a common way of perceiving life can foster mutual understanding and respect, enabling autistic individuals to engage authentically and participate fully in life. Whether you are autistic or know someone who is, this is an opportunity to build bridges and unlock potential. We look forward to seeing you there!

Tessa Halliwell graduated with a degree in Psychology in 1982. After completing a PGCE, she worked as a secondary school science teacher for many years, focusing on developing the curriculum for lower ability sets and researching strategies for those who think differently. She later attained an MA in Education before embarking on a course to retrain as a psychodynamic counsellor. Her career took a new direction after reading *The Gift of Dyslexia*, which answered many questions and explained much of the behavior she observed in the children she taught.

Tessa believes that the Davis programs have found the key to unlocking learning for those who struggle with traditional methods. She now feels privileged to offer the Davis Autism Approach, working with individuals to nurture the seeds of change in their development. Tessa also provides parent workshops and mentoring, empowering parents to deliver the program to their loved ones at home.

Richard Whitehead is author of the book, Why Tyrannosaurus But Not If? The Dyslexic Blueprint for the Future of Education.” A Patoss-accredited SpLD Assessor and former SENCo, Richard is Director and Principal Trainer for Davis UK & Ireland and has delivered one-to-one Davis Programmes since 2002.   Richard has presented on the Davis methods across five continents and has conducted webinars and lectures on multi-sensory learning for Operation Diversity, the University of Chester, Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi, the UNISA University of South Africa, and the SEND Group, as well as regularly for Davis UK & Ireland.
